About Anni

Annika Johnson is a Creative Director, copywriter, and narrative strategist who helps organizations clarify complex ideas and turn them into stories that drive trust and behavior change. She enjoys internal company comms just as much as public comms and marketing. Anni builds large-scale content and narrative systems. She is also a science writer.

In her personal writing, Anni is interested in how narrative shapes emotion, conflict, and identity. Her ideas sit at the intersection of storytelling and mental health, exploring how the stories we tell ourselves can either reinforce suffering or create space for change.

Anni’s work has been recognized with two Cannes Lions for brand storytelling. And she is the writer behind If Your Mouth Could Talk, a USA Today and WSJ Bestseller that translates science into accessible, entertaining health education.

Most recently, Anni led creative at a rapidly-scaling ed-tech startup. She is passionate about clear communication and brand positioning and excels at identifying product-market fit.
